I love this little dude, he’s probably my favourite of the stags I’ve made lately! He’s made with calico that’s been partly dyed so his coat fades between cream and pale pink, with some little lighter markings on his neck.
Constellation embroideries were one of the first things I made when I started sewing, I wanted to go back and redo one that’s more like how I work now. It’s interesting to see how it’s changed, the fabric is dyed from a blend of colours to get the colour I wanted rather than just grabbing some blue, and the stitching is far neater!
Popped this on my etsy HERE, if people like them I might do a few more, they’re fun :)
New stag head in my shop! Once again, these are a bit cheaper while I’m playing around with how to make them :)
A Ghost off to a new home! The direwolf commission is now relisted.
How to make fabric with more natural looking colour variations -
1. Read the instructions on the dye regarding washing fabric beforehand and stirring water regularly.
2. Do the opposite.
I’ve now listed a direwolf commission spot on my Etsy - click here! As of right now I’ve only made Ghost and Grey Wind, but I can make any of the others with a few adjustments, so just ask :)
